About Us
1. The aim of the Parish Team is to enable our Community to work together to further the mission of the Parish in building God's Kingdom through nurturing the community and working with other parishes in our own town, as well as the three Parishes on the Local Pastoral Area (9).
2. A representative group working on behalf of the Parish, our decisions will relate to pastoral development, community building, liturgy, prayer, Catechetic teaching of the faith, and supporting the Parish Groups.
3. We shall ask and listen, thereby developing our awareness, so we can discern and respond to the needs of the Parish and the neighbourhood.
4. We shall work in harmonious partnership, expect a high level of commitment from one another, and we shall have respect for each others' gifts and responsibilities.
5. Consensus decisions will made by the team under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
6. We are accountable to the parishioners, to one another, and to the Bishop.
7. We recognise that prayer is at the heart of our meetings.  We begin and end each meeting with a prayer.
8. For our ongoing foundation we will have one day together each year to review our annual progress.
9. We aim to meet for 9 months every year from January to June, and September to November. We meet at 7.30 pm and end by 9 pm.
10. We shall liaise with the rest of the Parish Groups though their appropriate lines of communication.
11 Ideally, half the team will change every three years.
